Jacob Lives

Jake has been in constant demand as a composer and musician. As a drummer and percussionist, he has performed with groups worldwide specializing in a wide range of genres. As a composer, his music has been heard in hundreds of TV shows, films, and video games, including BBC Radio, PBS, Nintendo, Sony and others.

Having composed, produced, and self-published multiple game audio assets, he is a 2-time nominee for Best Artistic Content at the Unity Awards in 2023 and 2025. He has also written for industry-leading music licensing companies such as Warner-Chappell Music Production, Amphibious Zoo, and others.

As an educator, Jake has had the privilege to teach and coach up-and-coming composers at Video Game Music Alliance, founded by industry expert Steven Melin, and The Game Composer's Apprentice, led by Grammy-nominated composer Peter Murray.

Something not many people know about Jake is his abiding love for Pixar films. His ongoing collection of Toy Story replica toys decorating his office is a testament of that love.
